In Europe, they were previously sold under the name CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO ADVANCE, and on the US market as HY-T TORQUE TEAM.
However, the global harmonization of ContiTech’s belt portfolio under the Continental CONTINUITY project continues, and as part of this process, the well-known MULTIBELT name is gradually being replaced by TORQUE TEAM – starting with high-end belts like CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE.
CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE Belts
Banded V-belts are created by joining individual V-belts into a single wide belt. CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE belts are based on high-performance cut V-belts with ground sides and internal teeth, specifically CONTI VX ADVANCE (formerly CONTI-V FO PIONEER) made of a fiber-reinforced EPDMSynthetic Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber rubber compound.
Technically and functionally, CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE belts remain unchanged compared to CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO ADVANCE. The materials used stay the same. No modifications are needed to the machine construction, mounting method, preload setting, or operation.

Profile and Dimensions of CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE Belts
These belts are currently available in American narrow 3VX/9JX and 5VX/15JX profiles according to the RMA/MPTA IP-22 standard, and in the European narrow XPB profile according to ISO 4184 (DIN 7753).

For American profiles, the nominal length Ld is given in tenths of inches (for 3VX or 5VX) and also in millimeters (for the metric 9JX or 15JX portion of the full designation). The standard versions have 2 to 5 ribs. For wider belts, these widths are combined (e.g., 8 = 4 × 2 or 2 × 4, etc.).

Pulleys for CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE
When replacing a worn-out pulley, it is essential to choose the correct profile.
While standard SPB profile pulleys can be used for XPB banded belts, pulleys for belts following US standards are not commonly available in Europe. This is due to their different groove pitch e, which differs from that of European SPZ and SPB profiles.
For banded belts in 3VX and 5VX profiles, custom-made pulleys must be used.
When designing a new drive system or modifying an existing transmission, it can also be beneficial to consider pulley availability in a given market.
