ContiTech's Premium Wrapped V-Belts Now as CONTI V SUPREME
You can now easily order them in standard narrow SPB and SPC profiles even from our Eshop.
CONTI V SUPREME Belts
They are characterised by excellent power transmission even under the highest loads. Compared to lower grade belts, they offer longer life, higher impact resistance and higher transverse stiffness while maintaining high temperature and chemical resistance.
CONTI V SUPREME narrow V-belts are wrapped according to ISO 4184 (DIN 7753). They are made of a special fibre-reinforced blend of synthetic rubber and aramid tensile fibres.
Until recently they were manufactured and sold under the name CONTI V POWER. The name change was made to harmonise the global range of ContiTech belts within the Continental CONTINUITY project, which we have previously informed you about.

Fields of Use
CONTI V SUPREME V-belts are used on the most heavily loaded machines in special applications.
Typical applications include agricultural machinery, machine tools, crushing machines, ventilation systems, the paper industry, cement manufacturing, power plants or mines.
In addition, they are also used in other applications where uneven loads need to be transmitted. This is even applicable at the highest power levels with shocks and over large axial distances.
CONTI V SUPREME Belts Characteristics
- Highest power transmission (up to 2.5 times higher than conventional V-belts)
- Highest resistance to shocks and uneven loads
- Use with standardised SPB and SPC pulleys
- Temperature resistant from −30 °C to +80 °C
- Resistance to oil and other chemicals
- Ready for use in dusty and tropical environments
- Antistatic according to ISO 1813
- L = L design – constant tolerance of belts in the set, minimum elongation (from 1000 mm length)
Profile and Dimensions of CONTI V SUPREME Belts
The belts are currently only produced in a narrow design. With regard to the belt designation, they are available in standard SPB and SPC profiles.
The abbreviation ZAR, which sometimes complements the profile designation of CONTI V SUPREME belts, refers to the design of the belts with aramid tensile fibres (from the German Zugstrang aus Aramid).
Available Belt Sizes
Profile | Length Range Ld (mm) |

SPB (ZAR) | 1600–7500 |
SPC (ZAR) | 2650–12500 |
CONTI V SUPREME Belts Construction
ContiTech offers performance levels of V-belts based on their intended application. They are defined by three basic components: rubber type, tensile fibers and fabric.
In the case of CONTI V SUPREME belts, these components meet in the following parameters:
-
Special Reinforced Synthetic Rubber Compound
A synthetic rubber that is reinforced with tiny transversely oriented glass fibres inside the compound. This gives the compound a higher tensile fibre stabilisation capability and increases the transverse stiffness of the belt. -
Aramid Tensile Fibres
Aromatic polyamide tensile fibres (aramid for short) are particularly suitable for the highest circumferential forces. They offer excellent strength characteristics with extremely low elongation. -
Nylon Fabric
Wrapping the belt with a special nylon fabric resists abrasion, tearing and puncture. Protects against heat and chemicals.
