Expanding Production and Service Capacity: New Beyer Automatic Cutter
Enables cutting all common types of rubber and plastic belts with glass, aramid, carbon, and steel tensile cords.
We Acquired a New Automatic Cutting Machine
Continuous orders in the hundreds to thousands of units led us to decide to expand our production capacity and order a new automatic cutting machine from Beyer for belts up to 2.5 meters in length. We will utilize it for medium to large series, particularly for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of machinery and equipment.
This is already our third automatic cutting machine. It can produce up to 60 belts per minute in automatic operation, increasing our production capacity by up to 60%. A significant benefit will be the even higher precision and quality of the produced belts.

Why Do We Cut Belts?
Timing, ribbed, and flat drive belts are also supplied by belt manufacturers as semi-finished products in so-called sleeves. We keep original sleeves in stock in all commonly used profiles and a wide range of lengths. Upon specific customer request, we can quickly and flexibly respond – cutting the required number of belts of the desired width from the sleeve.
The sleeves from which we produce individual belts can be either rubber with glass, aramid, and most recently, carbon tensile cords, or polyurethane with steel cords, but also with aramid or the newest carbon tensile cords. They usually range in width from 200 to 550 mm.
Belt Production at TYMA CZ
Since the beginning of our operations, toothed, ribbed, and flat drive belts have been a crucial component of our product range. As early as 1998, we purchased our first manual cutter. Though simple, it allowed us to produce belts from all required materials, in all profiles and widths, according to our customers' needs.
In 2001, we acquired our first semi-automatic cutting machine for short belts up to 1.5 meters in length.
A significant expansion of our production came in 2016 after modifying our production hall, when we also invested in a new automatic cutting machine. We chose an universal automatic cutting machine from the German manufacturer Beyer, a world leader in the field. Beyer cutters are also used by belt manufacturers in their series production. With this machine, we cut all belt profiles up to 5.0 meters in length.
By purchasing a new machine from the same manufacturer, we continue in the chosen direction.
