2024-06-05

Reduce machine downtime. A practical solution for quick and easy replacement of damaged belts.

Perforated V-Belts - the roll

The perforated V-belts enable fast installation, especially for drives with difficult disassembly, limited access or when large axial distance displacement is not possible. Complex changeovers are eliminated and machine downtime is often reduced to just a few minutes.

These are a special type of V-belts that are manufactured and delivered by the meter. Belts storage in rolls is practical and economical. The belts can be easily connected using metal fasteners to the endless V-belt of the required length. By cutting the belts to the exact same length, a set can be obtained for application on multi-belt pulleys. Perforated V-belts are used with standardised pulleys in SPZ, SPA, SPB or SPC profile.

The most common applications of perforated V-belts are agricultural machines, simple drives, fans, presses, etc.

Construction of Perforated V-Belts

Perforated V-Belts – Construction of the Belt Connected by the Open Fastener

The body of the belt is made of a special fabric that is folded into a spiral when manufactured to create a tough layers. The fabric is characterised by its excellent wear resistance. There are factory-punched holes in the belt body at constant intervals for connecting with the fastener.

The belts are connected with single or open fasteners of the appropriate size according to the profile. They are of robust construction and specially designed to ensure that the belt remains flexible and elastic at the point of connection.

Installation Tip

Installation of the fastener is simple and requires just a screwdriver. However, please note that the screws should only be tightened lightly. If they are tightened too much, this may cause unwanted local flattening of the belt and consequently unstable operation.
