Sprocket Parameters
In the TYMA Product Catalogues you can find this material also described with the abbreviation ST.
Sprocket Description
24B-1 KettenWulf HFS Crank Connecting Link (1 1/2” × 1”, DIN 8187) is intended for 24B-1 simplex reinforced drive chains, which are standardized according to ISO 606 (DIN 8187), meaning they belong to the European B-series.
The chains consist of outer links with pins and inner links with enhanced bushes, on which freely rotating rollers are mounted. The chains are made of steel. Thanks to their design and the materials used, they offer significantly higher fatigue strength than standard roller chains. They also provide excellent wear resistance, ensuring a long service life.
Sprocket Construction
- Inner link – high-precision, wide-waisted profile
- Outer link – high-precision, wide-waisted profile
- Special alloy steel pin (case-hardened or through-hardened according to type)
- Seamless special steel bush with optimally cylindrical shape and high wear resistance
- Through-hardened seamless roller
Sprocket Fields of Use
24B-1 reinforced roller chains according to DIN 8187 are designed for applications with higher mechanical loads, where standard roller chains might not meet requirements for strength and fatigue resistance.
They are most commonly used as drive chains in demanding operating conditions but can also be fitted with attachments or other auxiliary components for material handling and lifting applications.
