Custom Made Poly-V-Belt Pulleys
Poly-V-belt pulleys are designed for power and speed transmission through a poly-V-belt. Their design is based on ISO 9982 (DIN 7867) standard.
Gray cast iron poly-V-belt pulleys are manufactured for mounting on shafts using Taper Lock conical bushes or with a cylindrical bore and key. Poly-V-belt pulleys can be made on request from steel, aluminum or plastic according to the drawing or specific requirements.
Poly-V-Belt Pulley Types Overview
Pulley Type | Description | Illustration |
---|---|---|
Solid Poly-V-Belt Pulleys |
Solid pulleys are machined from solid material. They are suitable for use with small dimensions. The most common design is with a cylindrical bore with a keyway. |
|
Solid or Weight Reduced Poly-V-Belt Pulleys for Taper Lock Bushes |
Pulleys are machined from solid material or manufactured as castings. Design reduces weight, although the pulleys still have a compact shape. They are suitable for use with small and medium dimensions. They are used with Taper Lock conical bushes. |
|
Solid Poly-V-Belt Pulleys with Weight Reduction |
Solid pulleys are machined from solid material or manufactured as castings. Design reduces weight, although the pulleys still have a compact shape. They are suitable for use with small and medium dimensions. |
|
Poly-V-Belt Pulleys with Lugs |
Pulleys with lugs are produced as castings and are suitable for medium to largest dimensions. Design with lugs significantly reduces weight. Caution – pulleys are only suitable up to a certain speed (most often up to 30 m/s). At higher speeds, the pulley may break and rupture. |
|
Special Poly-V-Belt Pulleys |
Special pulleys are manufactured as castings or workpieces. They are used in cases where it is not possible to use conventional constructions or their special design is required. These are most often complex medium to large pulleys. |
Pulleys Fields of Use
The poly-V-belt pulleys are designed for all types of poly-V-belts PJ, PK, PL and PM.
They are typically used in compact compressor drives, blowers, machine tools, pumps, in the paper, chemical and automotive industry, garden technology and in many other machines.
Pulleys Material
Gray cast iron (most often GG 20 – GG 25), ductile iron, steel, aluminum alloy, plastic or other materials of adequate strength.
