CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE Reinforced Toothed Banded V-Belts
CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE (formerly CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO ADVANCE) banded V-belts are created by joining individual V-belts into a single wide belt. They are based on high-performance cut V-belts with ground sides and internal teeth, specifically CONTI VX ADVANCE (formerly CONTI-V FO PIONEER).
They are made of a fiber-reinforced EPDMSynthetic Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber rubber compound with exceptional temperature resistance and high-strength polyester tension member. Compared to standard banded V-belts like CONTI V TORQUE TEAM (formerly CONTI-V MULTIBELT), they offer higher power transmission, greater precision, lower elongation, and superior temperature resistance. The cover band increases belt stiffness and prevents twisting.

CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO ADVANCE Changes to CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE
The Continental CONTINUITY project is globally standardizing belt names and performance series across the entire ContiTech portfolio.
High-performance banded V-belts made of EPDMSynthetic Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber, previously sold under the CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO ADVANCE designation, are now produced with a new print design and a new name: CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE.
The belts remain unchanged in terms of technology and performance. The materials used stay the same. No modifications are needed to the machine construction, mounting method, preload setting, or operation.
Belts Construction
- Fiber-reinforced EPDMSynthetic Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer rubber rubber base
- High-strength polyester tension member
- Belt back cover fabric
Belts Fields of Use
CONTI VX TORQUE TEAM ADVANCE banded V-belts are used in the most heavily loaded machines in specialized applications.
They are typically found in compressors, asphalt milling machines, and crushers, as well as in buses and trucks.
They are also used in other applications with non-uniform loads and high operating temperatures.
Belts Characteristics
- Increased load capacity (up to 40% higher performance compared to CONTI-V MULTIBELT FO)
- Enhanced resistance to shocks and uneven loads, long service life
- Small pulley diameters and compact drive dimensions
- Excellent flexibility due to specially designed teeth, smooth and quiet operation
- Temperature resistance from −40 °C to +130 °C depending on application
- Resistant to oil and other chemicals (to a limited extent)
- Suitable for tropical climates
- Dust-resistant
- Antistatic in accordance with ISO 1813

Notice
While standard SPB pulleys can be used for XPB banded belts, pulleys for belts according to US standards are not commonly available in Europe due to a different groove pitch e compared to SPZ and SPB banded profiles. Therefore, custom-made pulleys are required for 3VX and 5VX belts.
Belts Certification
- Factory Electrical Conductivity Certificate of Belts According to ISO 1813 and ISO 9563 (pdf, 104.90 kB)
- ContiTech Explanation of ATEX Certification (pdf, 11.96 kB)
Notice
General factory certificates are not sufficient for belts used in potentially explosive atmospheres.
If a test report according to ISO 1813 and ISO 9563 is required for the application, it is necessary to inform us of the request for delivery of belts including the certificate when ordering them (when ordering belts via Eshop, please write this request in the "Note" field before by sending the order). The certificate is issued by ContiTech after the test in the production plant.
